A YEAR
They say there’s quite a difference A YEAR can make,
Many things, during that time, in your life may take shape.
A YEAR can turn a tragedy into a victory,
Or make a present problem seem like ancient history.
A YEAR can grow the mind to be that much wiser,
Proving experience over youth is the perfect equalizer.
A YEAR can help you discover more of yourself,
Or transform your body, or reclaim your health.
Yes, a lot can happen in A YEAR.
You can trade the job you hate, for something that you love,
Or beat the odds of your circumstance, showing what you are made of.
You can learn from failures and turn them into success,
Or shed the trappings of this world, seeing more as less.
You can meet the person you’ve been waiting for,
Or improbably reach peace after a never-ending war.
You can rid yourself of negativity, fear, and doubt,
Or ultimately understand what your pain is all about.
You can beat a bad habit, fix a relationship, or finally get some closure,
You could move away or choose to stay… end it or start over.
You might finally finish a trying tribulation,
And justifiably receive absolute vindication.
You could become willing to say yes, or learn to say no,
Comprehend why some things are so or how to truly let go.
Remember, if you have an issue, give it A YEAR,
And usually the resolution will become quite clear.
Ask yourself; in A YEAR will it even matter?
If not, carry on – if so, then get at ‘er.
Finally, realize you never know where you could go from here,
For the paths are many throughout the course of A YEAR.
