HELP

HELP!

It can be a loud, painful cry,
Or a silent distress signal in somebody’s eye.

It is both given and received,
And when it is, someone is relieved.

As a verb, HELP means to exert a force…
That makes it easier to do something via service or resource.

As a noun, HELP is when one assists,
In solving someone’s problem that exists.

It is the shortest prayer you can say,
Yet it can make the biggest difference in somebody’s day.

Don’t be afraid to ask for it,
If you refuse it, you’ll be taken to task for it.

When you give HELP, do so without being conceited,
As one of these days, sure enough, you will need it.

It’s about making the world a better place,
Helping another human win their race.

It is sometimes teaching a person to HELP him or her self,
So they can then improve others well being and health.

When you think to yourself, somebody should HELP out with that,
Take a look in the mirror and see that somebody staring right back.

And when you HELP don’t expect something in return,
For the beauty of serving is there’s nothing to earn.

Although, by stretching out a helping hand,
You’ll see much stretch back, time and again.

For the world is a family, we need to HELP each other,
Think of a stranger as a long-lost sister or brother.

Remember, no one has ever become poor by giving,
They’ve only found a wiser way of living.

So if you hear an agonizing yelp,
Be the first one to get up and HELP.
