MERCY

MERCY – it’s Y i say Merci.

It’s consideration or absolution bestowed on an offender,
And the cancellation of retribution’s fee owed upon surrender.

It’s a punishment never served,
It’s a present sent, ever undeserved.

It’s love that responds to a request in an unmerited way,
It’s above and beyond a bequest of inherited pay.

MERCY is a divine lifeline, a genuine godly sign.

It is a capacity to forgive,
It is the sagacity to let live.

A definitive illustration is one praying, ‘I plead, I concede, I’m in need’,
And the infinitive declaration of the Son saying, ‘I bleed, I intercede; you’re freed’.

It’s pondering, bearing in mind weakness and infirmity,
Then responding, caring with kind meekness and fraternity.

MERCY is one of heaven’s adorable facts,
It earthly comes as seven corporal acts…

1. Making sure the hungry are fed,
2. Taking care to bury the dead
3. Attending to the person who isn’t well
4. Befriending the one in prison’s cell
5. Providing the homeless with a place and welfare.
6. Supplying the clothes-less with apparel to wear.
7. Offering a drink to those who thirst
… It’s helping those who think they’re cursed.

To show it, is to know it, so grow it.

The MERCY seat,
Is mighty neat.

Slanderous to retaliation, thus surrounding it in controversy,
Is the scandalous liberation abounding within MERCY.
