STRUGGLE
STRUGGLE – it’s like learning to juggle.
It’s persistently striving for a feat that is presently unattainable,
It’s consistently reviving a beat that is currently unsustainable.
It causes ascension to stall when everything’s all up in the air,
It pauses attention to crawl; then many things fall in despair.
As well, the typical motion is try, try, try - fail,
It’s hell, the cyclical emotion is cry, cry, cry - wail.
However, if you don’t quit and enlist the power of mind,
Endeavour with grit and resist the scour of the grind…
You succeed for a moment,
It’s indeed a bestowment.
Bit by bit, you start to understand the process,
Hit by hit, you impart command of the progress.
When it has completely run its course, you are faster,
When it is concretely done, of course, you’re a master.
The mantra to which it adheres is now clear… to pioneer a new frontier - persevere.
It’s a cruel form of teaching but awfully effective,
It’s the fuel for reaching some lofty objective.
It’s emphatic exertion to get free of restraint or constriction,
It’s pragmatic coercion to beset the constraint on conviction.
It subdues your fright of failing,
And renews your might for prevailing.
It is to wrestle, learning true humility,
It is a vessel, earning you ability.
After it’s contradictory war-like defeat,
Laughter in victory is more light and sweet.
Consequently, if conflict, confrontations, and strife desire to snuggle,
That’s incidentally, perfect! Congratulations, on the life you acquire with STRUGGLE.
